Dogs and babies

Noushka is maturing and though she is a clever and slightly insubordinate dog, she is calming down and doing better at following orders. She is really sweet towards Eliza, as far as dogs can be sweet in their own dog-way.

She is slightly obsessive about licking her face, something we don't want her to do. Licking her hands and feet for a moment is okay but prolonged licking of hands, or any licking in her face/neck we don't want.

noushka:'hey, what's the time?'
Eliza:'ehhh, dunno, why you want to know?'
Noushka:'time to lick your face!'



We ordered a bigger baby pen so we can use it outside. Eliza loves it, and Noushka enjoys us being outside together. She wanted to check out the pen for herself, on account of all the baby toys plus the baby being inside the pen





In June, Noushka will be two years old and officially be an 'adult' in dog years. We expect another burst of pubescent rebelry before she'll settle down. Right on time for Eliza to start the terrible two's when Noushka is done. Got to keep things interesting 😄


This is a gratuitious shot of Eliza looking up toward Noushka. E thinks Noushka is very funny and entertaining, she loves watching her. She is practicing petting her but due to her grabbing things, she usually ends up holding Noushka's tongue or lip, which is all fine by Noushka.

Baby jail!!! That's what we call my nephew's playpen.

Dogs and baby's are so cute together. Your baby girl is just too sweet for words!

I keep on meaning to tell you that there is a girl in my French class from Utrecht (she actually lives in Amsterdam now but is visiting MPL for French lessons this summer.)

Ooh, nice that you're meeting new people in class, and what a coincedence that she's from the Netherlands!

My mother in law calls the pen a chicken run. It is kind of a jail but considering her inginuity and curiosity, she is better off inside the pen!
