Pink Turkish costume part 9: Fringe!

 My hands have not been idle in the past weeks. I spent 20 hours on making the beaded fringe for the belt and after that I needed a couple of days to put the belt in my living room so I could stare at it in awe. It's so pretty and sparkly!  It also helps me to keep me motivated, as it will take a lot of hours to make/finish the matching bra. That's what I'm going to work on the next couple of days, stay tuned for more costuming posts.

with flash, late at night when I tied the last string off after a couple of hours of beading. The gold is more yellow in real life, Christa has seen it in daylight so she can attest :)

of course I can! It might take a while though, have to wrap my head around taking pictures in daylight instead of late at night when I'm done beading/sewing.

<3 It's awesome! I really like how the fringe is a bit lighter in colour than the belt!

I used the same beads on the belt, but they look more magenta paired with the magenta sequins. There will be one more color added: I couldn't get the same fabric for a matching skirt, so I bought a different shade of pink/purple. It will really set off the darker fabric from the bra/belt and tie everything together.
