Heavy weather
Jan. 18th, 2007 09:46 pmDue to the storm the police ordered to stop the train traffic, advised people to stay at home and is now busy keeping an eye on stuff that's almost falling off high buildings, or clearing up the mess from other stuff that already went down earlier today. Jeoffrey had to call his father so he could get a ride to his parents place. I was looking forward to tomorrow because we both have the day off :( At least he has a roof, a hot meal and a warm bed. The stranded commuters are taking care off in the trade center next to the station. They can take in 2000 people, so the other 20.000 must have found another way to get home or a place to stay. It's a good thing that most people found an old friend/co-worker/boss who would offer them a place to stay. Or called a cab/found a ride/booked a hotel.
Couldn't exit the station through the usual exit because of the Joop v.d. Ende billboard that is shred to pieces and is looming over the the entrance, ready to come down. It appears that this is happening all through the northern part of Europe, it's supposed to end tonight.
