I added box-pleated trim to cover the hook and eye closure of the cuirass bodice and added a huge silk bow to te back and dressed up on sunday for the gothic walk. thing is, it's hard to see what's wrong with an outfit unless you see pictures of it. On theother hand, it's also hard to see how gorgeous you look for the same reason. That's probably why they 'pull a curtain away from a mirror in programs like 'the swan'. I had to wear this outfit and get some pictures to see what I want to change.

It's a red silk dupioni cuirass bodice with leg of lamb arms, fitted over a corset. Bodice is reinforced with interlining of heavy cotton and 10 pieces of steel boning. Skirt has a train but since the streets were wet with rain I strategically pinned pieces of elastic in place to bustle the skirt some more and lift the hem off the street.

frustration points:
-the pull-line in the bodice
-the collar won't stand up like it's supposed to and because I have a scrawny neck, it's a bit too large
-the corset shows through. it's not a big problem (better to have a corset that shows then no corset at all) but maybe if I wore a corset cover it might smooth out the line a bit.
-I don't like the knifepleat ruffle on the apron, I want to replace it with a boxpleat trim app. half the width of the current trim.
