Home improvement: new floor in the dining room

 I moved into this house in 2001 when the living room had a reddish felt-like carpet . Fast forward to 2011: the same felt like substance is still sort of covering the floor, but stains, rips, holes and discoloration have set in. I really, really wanted a new floor, but given the circumstances couldn't afford a new one. Internet helped me to find a second hand IKEA floor and a couple of friends helped me last weekend to drag everything back to my house and upstairs. That was be the fastest part of the process: it took us 6,5 hours.
