Today started out as a bit of a surprise, as I didn't have anything planned. I made a last minute appointment with
ikaiya to go shopping for some essentials. Basically all my clothes don't fit anymore, I seem to have lost more then I thought. Especially uncomfortable are bra's that don't fit anymore, so we went and got some stuff that would fit. We then ventured over to looking into clothes and I found myself a pair of flared jeans and some items that I could use for work and in general.
Another last minute appointment was Joyce, who needed my help assembling her Brimnes bed from IKEA. Joyce helped me with getting the second hand laminate floor and she is a dear long time friend and (twice) ex-colleague. We make a pretty good team, and we assembled the bed in her tiny bedroom. Our love for power tools know no boundaries, though I'm not sure other people should be in the vicinity when we're diy-ing. We needed duck tape and out of the box thinking to get everything in place, and right when I was about to take off, we decided to take some items back up to her upstairs storage room. And upstairs is where T. lives, who happens to be an ex-colleague AND my forum tech guy. We kind of got caught up talking, decided we didn't have dinner plans and that it was a good day to drink rosé in J.'s backyard. So yeah, it was an unexpectedly fun day. When I drove back home I ran into a dear friend which was also fun, talked about getting together next Wednesday. I had plans to crawl behind my computer tonight so I could talk with
swas , but I got a bit caught up in the moment today.
Tomorrow I'm going to Amersfoort for dinner with Selma, a high-school friend :) That's two days in a row where I have a decent dinner, I'm on a roll!
