Powertool therapy

Here's what's happening when I'm sad or upset. I can 1. Roll up into a little ball and watch animated movies, 2. Bake stuff and sit in front of the oven so I can see the magic happening, 3. Look at pictures of cute kittens untill I feel better or 4. Play with powertools. I choose the last one.

My new subletter moved in on Tuesday and all her stuff is white, pink and shiny. It made me look at my own stuff, which is  rather run down. In short, it made me sad that I still have the fugly little cabinet in my bathroom that someone left there over fourteen years ago. I felt that I needed to change this. I rented a car on Saturday and went to Ikea. Let me tell you, that place is not made for people who visit by themselves but I managed anyway. Got me a wooden sidetable/box thing for the livingroom and two nicer looking cupboards or the bathoom. My powertools where put to good use. The garbage disposal service will get here on the 25th to pick stuff up, so a I'm gathering everything that needs replaong. Turns out my twelve year old matress is in need of replacement too :-/ no idea how I can get the new one up the stairs, but I'll manage. Or the old one down, for that matter.

Anyway, my bathroom looks slightly more sophisticated and I threw out two garbage bags of stuff in the proces. Will try to post pics after the old stuff is gone, it's standing in the middle of my bathroom and staring at me accusingly right now.
