Relaxed sunday, right? I got home from a bellydance practice, tried to turn the heat on and it didn;t work. Went to the Central Heating kettle, noticed that it was running low on water and refilled it. Except that the faucet that is supposed to close of the water, suddenly doesn;t work anymore and the water pipe burst and flooded the kitchen and pantry. I ran downstairs and dove into the hole beneath the fron dore to turn off the water and my subletter (who I absolutely and totally love in a platonic way) mopped up the water in the kitchen while I called the landlord and the plumber. Hopefully they can repair it tomorrow, but until then no running water and no heating.
Did I mention that it is freezing outside?
