Sleep training
Feb. 17th, 2016 11:27 amBefore I had kids, I had this idea about being a parents and setting boundaries and providing structure. Turns our that I'll sell my principles in a heartbeat if it means I get an hour of sleep. See how I'm not using the word 'extra' in that sentence? Because my regular dose of sleep is still 5-6 hours in 2 hour chunks.
And that babies who are supposed to like structure can revolt with gusto against said structure because they want to stay with you instead of sleeping alone in their bed. Pregnancy hormones are going down so it is getting easier to be less emotional about letting her go but the amount of anxiety over het crying is insane.
But! We are ever so slowly making progress. Eliza is sometimes falling asleep in her crib during the day. She's not sleeping very long, 35-45 minutes top, but it's a start. I am working up the courage to start having her sleep in her crib at night. Because it will probably mean no sleep for a week or so.
