I've been going through my digital pictures and noticed how I used to get dresses up and take pictures. For festivals and such, but also in my livingroom.
I figured I could do with some nice pictures of the costumes I recently finished so I ventured outside with my camera and tripod. Took some cute pictures of the white cherry dress in the playground behind our house. Then I got bold and decided to go to a nearby park and take pictures of the gold metal mesh costume.
1. Thistles suck. They don't show in the pictures and I was wearing flats, the damage is limited.
2. The remote for my camera has a maximum range that is closer than I anticipated. Instead of pictures of me on a hilltop, I now have pictures of me halfway down the hill. I'm cool with that.
When I was finishing up, I noticed our next door neighbor approaching with her dog. She was a bit spooked by the tripod because it looked a bit like a weapon (I am handy with folding it in quickly, that might have something to do with it). We talked a bit and walked home together, where I gave her apples and pears because we received a crate of both and we won't eat it all.
Anyway, huzzah for taking pictures of my costuming and having the guts to go out there. Let's hope our neighbors don't think we're terrorists.
