Tv corner diy
Sep. 13th, 2011 10:16 pmI'm enjoying my home improvement work each and every day, so I thought I'd share my new and improved tv corner with you :) This has always been a messy corner with wires everywhere, stacks of dvds and the grimy old red carpet. I proudly present a recent picture of this corner. You might recognize the red wall on the left as the wall I use as a backdrop for costuming pictures. I used to photoshop the loose wires along the plinth out, but we put one wire behind the laminate plinth, and the antenna cable in a small conduit on the top of the old wooden plinth. I installed led light behind the tv (thank you, IKEA!) and replaced the dvd stacks with Kassett boxes. WHile we were at it, we had to replace the old outlet because plugs would fall out of it all the time. And by replacing it we had to paint the plinth white, or you would have seen the outline of the old outlet. Thereis more work in this corner then you'd expect, but it is a bliss to look at the one corner of my house that is totally organzied and clutter free. I even used those white wrapthingies for garbage bags to hide the loose cables inside the closet.
oh, and I measured and cut all the laminate plinths myself. I iz proud.
