He had a CAT scan and they found an infection induced abcess in the back of his throat. They punctired it and gave him antibiotics, hoping that it's enough to get the infection down. If it is Not enough, they'll operate tomorrow. I spent time with him in the hospital and he is shaken, tired and feeling like crap. He was very sweet, glad that I was there and interested in what my week was like. I used his car to drive to his house and get some basics. He came in at the emergency room this morning thinking he'd be going home, instead ending up staying there at least untill Monday. I was pleased to see that the normal state of his house closely resembles my own chaos.
We snuggled a bit in the visitors room, it appears that the other patients are all over 60 and are not into hugging our touching their visitors. The headnurse was frowning a bit when we joked around about if I could stay for the night curled up next to him. No sense of humor, that woman. Overall the prognosis is good. I installed whatsapp on his smartphone so we exchanged messages while he was watching 'the A-team-the movie' in the hospital, and I watched 'the notebook' at home. I highly recommend the last movie for anyone who wants to see a romantic movie that will make you cry like, well, a woman.
