Wedding update: location found

mekyriaWe received the offer from the location that we wanted and it is within our budget. yay! This is what it looks like from the outside:
There is a huge closed off public playground in the back:
The public playground has a small amfitheater:
The pro is that it is relatively cheap though we are still talking 4 figures. The downside is that the park and playground are public places so it is not an 'exclusive' wedding. It'll be a fun day for the whole family :-)
In related news, a friend gave me a book about weddingplanning which is hilarious because it is thirteeen years old and already outdated. For example, internet wasn't that prevalent at the time and the books tries to explain things that are commonplace now. I havebeen looking at dresses and need to plan a wedding dress fitting with my mother and best woman soon. I heard that it is almost impossible to order a dress this close to your wedding (5 months). I even considered making a dress myself, which will remain an option for now. The reviews about ordering a dress online are mixed, I might try ordering one dress because it isn't that much money for an experiment.
In addition, we need to plan a bbq with our close family (mum, dad, brothers and their spouses/girlfriends) so they have at least seen eachother once before the wedding, and we need to plan a date with our masters of ceremony to talk through the day. Not to mention the bachelorette/bachelor party, where we both agreed that we are not the type to booze and kiss strangers but it would be nice to do stuff with our friends. The wedding is coming along, we will sit down with a graphic design friend for the wedding invitaion soon.
