Everyone is crazy

I made the critical mistake of inviting Harry the Projectmanager to a meeting. He managed to scare the shit out of all attendants by techtalking about all the things that could go wrong with the project. The other members (including me) left in an alarmed state, thinking that the world was going to end.
My mistake was thinking that Harry had people skills. I've been around IT people for such a long time that I don't consiously adjust to their impaired communication. I might argue that often, they have advanced communication skills. Like Sheldon Cooper: no small talk, just straight to the case. I am having a very rough day at work and I am going to finish what I am working on and go home to hug my husband and dog. Tomorrow and Monday I'll work from home, probably a good thing to get my stress levels back down.
Oh, and the project? Talked to the head of the technical units, he is going to manage Harry back into 'we're going to make it' mode. Though for IT people, it sounds more like 'we're going to make this crappy solution and bypass danger X, Y and Z in the meantime because it is marginally better than what we have right now'.
