We are getting mor picky with what we watch on telly since we have so many other things to do. If we can watch a movie together, it better be a good one! The programming is not helping, there are a lot of movies scheduled that we don't like or have already seen, so we're watching series now. Some of my favorites are:
Property ladder: bbc program where people buy a property, remodel completely and try to sell for a profit. Most amusing since we already had two big remodelling things in our house, plus we like to expand the livingroom in the future. Seeing other people crash and burn helps me remember that yes, remodelling is a strain on my relationship, privacy, nerves and budget, but in the end it's all worth it.
Call the midwife: bbc series set in 1959-1964 about a midwife practice in the poorest quarter of London. Charming because of the perfect retro details (the clothes are brilliant, with the correct underwear, hair and make-up). Probably not the best series to watch as a pregnant women, as there is a fair share of women in labor and complications. I tear up over every third episode or so, but it all ends well, sort of. Makes me very happy that I live in 2015 and our healthcare has improved drastically.
American Horror show: I didn't like the one with the witches, but the series set at the carnival is really good.
The walking dead: I can't wait for the new season to start next monday, though I am getting a bit squeamish of all things scary. Must be the pregnancy hormones. Last season ended with a great cliffhanger and I like to see how the storyline develops with the isolated village and the 'wolves'
With a couple of weeks ahead with minimal mobility, what series are you hooked on that I should check out? I love to hear suggestions 😄
