mekyriaE got down with the flu or something this friday so I have been taking the dog for the one hour midday walk. The weather is clear skies with a touch of frost and chilly winds. We hadn't had much of a winter this year and everything is starting to bud.
It's nice to be out for a long walk in the dog park again. Life is returning to normal, with one more person in our family. When I got home I noticed E and Eliza sleeping on the couch. I decided to stay outside in the garden with the dog and let them sleep. Gave me the opportunity to prune the buxus, budleja and hazel tree. I might be over zealous as the temperature was neer freezing point tonight but I just needed to do something constructive.
As I pruned the budleja next to the house it occured to me that in a year time, the budleja might be replaced by the annex. A lot can happen in one year.
I did the intake at the daycare center and Eliza is starting with half a day next Teusday. We will drop her off and go nextdoor to get a tour of the Dalton school. If we like the school we need to enroll her asap as it is very popular and only has 31 places each year.
My main reason to like this school is that Eliza wouldn't have to cross dangerous and busy roads when she's going to school. It's within walking distance (7 minutes) so when she's bigger she can walk with friend or by herself.
So weird to be looking at schools while she's just three months old. She has to go to school when she's four.
